Remember that Rogue Spear is a tactical action game, not a typical "shooter". Take things slowly in the Action Phase, otherwise you won't last very long.
A heartbeat sensor is a good way to find out where terrorists are, and what their patrol routes are. However, keep in mind that heartbeat sensors will only show terrorists in the direction you are facing, and on the same level as you.
When you take down a terrorist, watch out for his friends. Taking down a terrorist will usually alert others in the area, especially if you are not using a silenced weapon.
Make generous use of the "lean" buttons to quickly peek around corners. Terrorists are much less likely to spot you this way.
Remember that you can use your squad mates to do tasks such as covering an area, breaching a door, etc. This way, you can let your teammates do some of the tasks that require attention while you provide cover for them, instead of doing the task yourself and relying on them for cover.
Use the map to keep track of where your other squads are, and coordinate with them according to what you laid out in the Plan Phase.
If you are not sure how to handle the Planning Phase, you can click the Load Plan button to load up the default plan for the mission you are on.
Remember that Plans are based on Go Codes. When your team arrives at a waypoint, check to see if your other teams are ready and waiting at their waypoints before giving the next Go Code.
