General Hints and Tips
In this game, Duke's health is partially dependent on his Ego score. Destroying bad guys, rescuing Babes, and reading his Biography boost his Ego and therefore his health. If Duke gets hit, or a Babe gets killed, Duke's Ego and health will go down.
Try not to shoot the Babes by accident. This is bad form, and Duke's Ego (and therefore his health) will go down.
Use the L1 button to Auto-Aim. Use the R1 button to look around or in conjunction with the L1 button to switch to a different enemy. L2 and R2 are for strafing left and right, respectively.
Use the Triangle key to do a quick 180, the circle key to draw or holster your weapon, the square button to jump, and the X button to fire or to perform other actions while your weapon is holstered. More gamepad controls are listed in your manual.
