- Click the link above. This will download a file called "AoE 1.3.1 Update" to your desktop.
- Double-click this file and follow the onscreen instructions to update Age Of Empires to version 1.3.1.
This update replaces the Application and the file Language.rsrc both of which are located in the Age of Empires folder. Please note that any games saved with previous versions are damaged and will not work correctly even with the 1.3 application.

This download contains the documents referred to in the Age of Empires manual and in the ReadMe on the CD. These documents were inadvertently left off the final master of the CD. All of the files are in PDF format and require Acrobat Reader to be viewed.
